Counselling

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) defines Counselling and Psychotherapy as  ‘Umbrella terms that cover a range of talking therapies. They are delivered by trained practitioners who work with people over a short or long term to help them bring about effective change or enhance their wellbeing.’

During counselling sessions, I provide a professional,  safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore personal issues that are  causing you concern or distress.  Being able to talk through what’s on your mind, can bring relief from worries and help you come to terms with whatever is going on. Sometimes talking to friends and family is not enough. Having a qualified professional whose main priority is your wellbeing can be life changing.

Some benefits of counselling include:
  • Self- awareness and insight
  • Healing past or present trauma
  • Relieve anxiety
  • Overcome depression
  • Finding new strategies to cope
  • Personal growth and self- discovery
  • Increased self- esteem and confidence
